Today was kind of a boring day for me.  The 17 of us on this Alaska trip were split into three groups and yesterday, today, and tomorrow the three groups would be going fishing each on a different day. Since my fishing day was yesterday, today and tomorrow are free days for me. I got to sleep in today which was nice, but I only slept until 8. It is hard to sleep in here in Alaska because of all the daylight. Sometimes I wake up at 5am and think it is later in the morning because of how bright it is out. It gets dark now at around 11pm and light between 4 and 5am. The group that went fishing today caught 33 fish! My group was a little jealous because we only caught 3 yesterday on our fishing trip. This afternoon I went downtown to Homer with my group and we went to a museum that had information about the Kachemak Bay which is the bay surrounding the area where I am staying. Then we did some souvenir shopping and headed back to the cabin for the night.
